Aakash Thakkar
Aakash is Chief Acquisitions Officer at EYA, LLC. His responsibilities include leading acquisitions efforts for the company and managing new development projects through the sourcing, financing, and entitlement process. He serves on EYA’s Partnership and Investment Committees. Aakash is a full member of the Urban Land Institute, a member of the Maret School Board of Trustees, and a member of the National Building Museum Board of Trustees. He is a member of the DNC Finance Committee and a co-founder (along with his wife) of the Thakkar/Giallourakis Scholarship Fund for St. John’s College High School. Aakash has a BS in Accounting and Political Science from LaSalle University and holds both an MBA and a Masters in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University. He is a native Washingtonian and resides in Washington, DC with his wife and two children.
